We are looking for an Associate Editor to assist the editorial team with cinematics, dialogue and trailers for our upcoming titles. As a studio, Naughty Dog strives to make the transition between interactive and scripted content seamless, and our editors are a key position in keeping everyone in sync to make that happen. If you’re a highly-collaborative editor with a passion for telling character-driven stories, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

 

  • Organizing dailies shot at the mocap stage, prepping for edit
  • Cleaning up dialogue to remove stage noise and other sound issues
  • Supporting trailers/commercials for single player and Multiplayer mode utilizing captured footage.
  • Compressing and exporting various video and audio files for implementation in the game and for delivery out of house

Requirements & Skills

 

  • Experience editing performance capture video reference preferred, but not essential
  • Self-starter who’s incredibly organized and detail oriented a must
  • Needs to work well in a high-pressure environment as a member of a team
  • Open to feedback and iteration in a collaborative environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Premiere preferred
  • Knowledge of various digital video codecs, file formats and encoding preferred
  • Knowledge of online streaming devices and programs
  • Video game production experience strongly preferred

Bonus Skills

 

  • Experience capturing video or stills of in-game footage
  • Experience working with professional video or still cameras (shooting b-roll, interviews, or reference)
  • Production experience shooting live-action—either fiction or documentary
  • Post-production experience with VFX editing, creating motion graphics or animated logos

As a part of the Naughty Dog application process, candidates will be expected to provide a demo reel of their work and will be asked to complete a test.
